The Asia21 2009 Public Service Award calls for nominations until 15 August

As part of the Asia Society's Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative, each year the Asia Society Asia 21 Fellows select and present the Asia Society Asia 21 Public Service Award to acknowledge projects and organizations which benefit underprivileged social and economic groups, communities, and the public in the Asia-Pacific region.

This year the Award consists of prize money of $10,000. Along with the cash prize it also includes the active support and mentorship of the current Asia 21 Fellows class. The selected public service organization can have access to the Fellows' network and skills for further developing their organization and projects. The Public Service Award will be presented at the Asia 21 Young Leader's Summit in Malaysia on November 21st, 2009.

Please spread the word about this award within your network of organizations doing extraordinary work. If you are a past Asia 21 Fellow or Delegate, you are also encouraged to nominate your own organizations.
