Reflections On The GKP International Forum 2006

The GKP International Forum: "Creating Prosperity through Innovation: ICT at Work in Development" (IF06) successfully brought together 178 participants from 36 countries across the globe to exchange knowledge in vibrant, innovative conversations.

Over 8-9 May 2006, the quality and diversity of these conversations clearly led to three key conclusions:

1. That ICT4D practitioners internationally see value and promise in the principles of cross-sectoral knowledge sharing, and they are keen to build partnerships to realise this promise;
   
   
2. That GKP members and organisations who are not yet GKP members are willing and able to work together to innovate new solutions and approaches to development issues; and
   
   
3. That GKP has once again built upon the individual activities of its diverse international membership to reveal a holistic network philosophy of how real actions can lead to real policies.
