ICT for Poverty Reduction Awards

Initiatied in 2003, the Tony Zeitoun Awards aim to seek and highlight success stories that demonstrate the potential and impact of ICT on poverty reduction. The awards aim to capture the learning process that accompanies the introduction and implementation of ICT through exemplary stories. These stories describe good practices and lessons learned from the contributors' experiences.

These Awards are a tribute to the late Tony Zeitoun from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), who passed away on May 5, 2003. Tony Zeitoun was a tireless and effective advocate of the role of ICTs as tools for the development process.
