2008 Annual Members’ Meeting attains 50 percent increase in member participation


The 2008 Annual Members' Meeting took place virtually from 3 -16 June 2008 where digital technologies were used to enable equal participation opportunities for members spread across the globe and minimise ecological footprints for  GKP’s 11th Annual Members’ Meeting. 

The meeting saw 56 GKP members engage in various discussions on network development issues. This represents a 50 percent increase in participation compared to last year. 

Member interactions were facilitated through 21 discussion forums, which drew 1,339 views and 93 postings.  17 moderators drawn from the Executive Committee, the Membership Committee and the membership at large facilitated the discussion forums that ranged across various topics including "Growing and Strengthening the GKP Network", "GKP Value Proposition", "Plans for Regional Outreach and Partnerships", and "GK4 on ICT and Education".
